Three AWS Residential Reentry Centers Earn ACA Accreditation

The American Correctional Association (ACA) accredited AWS’ Charleston, Columbia, and Florence Federal Residential Reentry Centers (RRC’s) during its 2024 annual conference in Nashville, TN. Securing accreditation by ACA allows AWS to continue its commitment to assisting federal offenders in making a successful transition from prison to the community. We are so proud of all the staff that made this achievement possible.

For more than 150 years, the ACA has been the recognized worldwide authority in corrections and certifies correctional facilities. The standards created and refined by the ACA represent fundamental practices that ensure staff and resident safety and security, enhance staff morale, improve record maintenance and data management capabilities, and improve the function of the RRC’s at all levels.
