AWS 2025-2030 Strategic Plan Released
We’re thrilled to announce that our leadership team has developed an ambitious five-year strategic plan following an intensive analysis and planning process in late 2024!
Three AWS Residential Reentry Centers Earn ACA Accreditation
The American Correctional Association (ACA) accredited AWS’ Charleston, Columbia, and Florence Federal Residential Reentry Centers (RRC’s) during its 2024 annual conference in Nashville, TN.

AWS Welcomes Three New Board Members for 2024
The Alston Wilkes Society is pleased to welcome Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, Circuit Court Judge Amy A. Land, and retired Director of SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, Jerry Adger, to the Board of Directors. They will each serve a 3- year term on the Board.
AWS Community Service Coordinator Awarded Honor at SC Law Enforcement Conference
Denise Mock, AWS’ Greenwood Community Service Coordinator, was honored at the SC Law Enforcement Conference in Myrtle Beach in December.
AWS Earns Certification in Trauma Informed Practices
After two years of hard work and dedication, the Alston Wilkes Society became the first South Carolina-based community organization to earn its certification in Trauma Informed Practices (TIP) through Columbia College’s Institute for Resiliency Through Trauma Informed Practices.
